Hals Harley xb 12r farings

Does anybody have farings on their bike and can you install them yourself or does the dealership have to do it? I hope to get some soon but I plan on fabricating an Aluminum heat shield. Any suggestions? I think I might use duplicolor or should I get it done from the pros? Thanks guys!

I just got my rear race tail from Hals for my 03 xb9r,it has mountingholes allready dimpled into the fiberglass so it's pretty easy to mount.If I'm not mistaken,drunkenshooter has full fairings on his bike,ask him about the install.I don't know if the dealership would mount them or not.That would be BPG's thing.Don't think it would be all to hard.As far as the heatshield,I think the more you can do to your bike yourself,the more pride you'll have in it.

thanks man i will talk to my guy and see what he recommend but i will order the parts cause i know it will take a month to get them anyways.
