I live in the great Northwest and trying to join the Buell ranks . However why does everybody think thier Buell's are made of gold. At least their asking price would say so. Asking price is generally almost $1800 dollars over blue book value. I offered a guy $6600 for a 05 xb9sx with 5000 miles. This offer was right what blue book said the bike was valued, the guy seemed outraged at my offer which I thought was fair. Am I wrong or are people asking way to much for Buell's?

I can't speak for all Buell owners but I just got my Buell. 06 xb9sx and paid about 9000 new. Worth every penny. I researched a lot of bikes and I know I made the right choice. For me it is just one of those things. The way I look at it if you have to ask then you shouldn't be looking. My 2 cents. Hope you find one you want and decide to buy. You won't be sorry.
Also before I bought new I looked for used and didn't find much. that is another reason prices are higher. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I can tell you right now that many people have listed used Buell motorcycles for really good prices on this site. Just check out the for sale section on this site. I'm looking into a new Buell and I would probably let my mint 2005 XB12Scg go for about $7800. It just broke the 900 mile mark. I'm not too sure what Blue book value is though. Good luck on your search, we love new members to the Buell nation.

I just bought a brand new '05 from a dealer who had never sold it. It had 100 miles on it. I got it for $9,000 with tax tags and all the other junk included, and a 2 year warranty. If you look around long enough you can find good deals. Try dealerships in neighboring states.

I just bought my 04 Lighting xb12S about two months ago, it had never been sold before and only had 34 miles on it! They sold it to me stock for 7k. I paid a bit for a race kit and exhaust that ran me about 3k. WORTH EVERY CENT.:D
