Hi guys,
I'm considering to purchase either the XB9SX or a Kawasaki Z750s.

I've recently ridden the XB9SX and had to do an emergency stop during which I got the rear wheel off the ground (real high..) this frightened the life out of me.
Now, consider that I don't want to get the rear wheel off the ground, I have to break lighter.
Won't it make the total breaking distance longer than on other 'sane' bikes?

Thanks,

Well, emergency stopping on any bike sucks. You have to use both brakes at the ame time, front/rear.(on hard stops) You can lock the rear wheel and let off a bit on the front.

Why do you want to keep the rear wheel on the ground? :) I can push my weight back when emergency stopping and keep the wheel down without much problem. I weigh 250lbs tho.

It's amazing how fast a Buell machine can stop! I hate the brake dust though[mad][up]
