I have several pieces of new, never used carbon fiber (real carbon fiber not the cheap carbon composite you find on flea bay) for a long Buell.

This stuff was purchased for my Super TT project and for those of you who know the bike know I ulimately went with a naked / streetfighter look.

This carbon is first quality from American Sport Bike and has been mounted once or twice but never used or run on the bike. The sprocket cover comes with the rubber mount / spacers as shown and the lower belt guard comes with the sainless mount you can see below the guard.

Sold separately these four items would sell for:

#9006 Cold Air Induction Air Box $379.95
#A9408 Front Pulley Cover $189.95
#9402 Lower Belt Guard $149.95
#9013 Heel Guards $94.95

$814.80 + Shipping + tax

You can have these all for $550. + actual shipping cost from California ZIP Code 95688 or you can pick them up in Northern California. I cheerfully accept credit cards through Paypal if you are willing to pay the fees $17.00+/-.

Would you sell the airbox cover separate?

Actually, it looks like water would get in those "scoops" if it rains, is that correct? If so nm I can't have that...

I'd like to keep them together and see if I find them a good home. Of course the airbox cover and the heel guards fill everything XB. The pulley / sprocket cover could be adapted to fit most and with the belt guard mount so could the belt guard.

Maybe someone has an air box and will want the other items, I'll let you know. Thanks for looking.

I've been watching these on ebay. I was wondering if I could adapt that sprocket cover to a 03 or 04 R

Snrusnak,

The amount of water vapor in an atmosphere is constrained by the restrictions of partial pressures and temperature. Dew point temperature and relative humidity act as guidelines for the process of water vapor in the water cycle. Energy input, such as sunlight, can trigger more evaporation on an ocean surface or more sublimation on a chunk of ice on top of a mountain. The balance between condensation and evaporation gives the quantity called vapor partial pressure.

The maximum partial pressure (saturation pressure) of water vapor in air varies with temperature of the air and water vapor mixture. A variety of empirical formulas exist for this quantity; the most used reference formula is the Goff-Gratch equation for the SVP over liquid water below zero degree Celsius:

Long story short you just need to ride faster, the rain will not get in to the airbox. If you park outside maybe momma will let you park inside if you get this set. But yes, if you ride slow or park outside the CIA airbox will let water in to your airbox.

I dunno firefighter, it might be a simple matter of trimming down this cover.

^lol.

I'm not worried about anything other than if I ride somewhere and it then rains. And that's enough for me to lose interest in it...

My bike's kept in a garage.
