07 blast won't start

Pardon my ignorance. I got my blast just before leaving for a 5 month law enforcement academy. After my bike was shipped from Hawaii to LA for my job...it won't start. It literally has less than 100 miles and I already had a few buddies check the battery. I'm a new chick rider and don't have a lot of experience so I don't want to get hosed by some repair shop. Any suggestions on the types of things that would be first to look at for a fairly new bike that hasn't been started in a while? Thanks in advance!

Das boot - lol - also kick stand switch needs dis-abling and so does clutch safety switch.

*Bump* Reviving this thread. I just bought a 01, it was running fine then the next night it does nothing.

It has a new battery, used a booster pack to manually engage the starter with no success.
