2009 1125CR for trade

I have a 2009 CR I bought in November. It originally had red bodywork. I have since replaced all the bodywork with Carbon Fiber bodywork. List of upgrades: EBR ECM tuned for Jardine RT-5, Jardine RT-5, new Dunlop D207 tires (200 rear), new brakes, EBR front rotor mount kit, new K&N filter, Ilmberger keyless anodized red billet gas cap from Germany, billet levers (can't remember the brand, but they cost $186!!!), EBR resistor plug to delete throttle solenoid, EBR LED brake light, led blinkers, led tag bolts, license plate bracket eliminator, and of course the Carbon Fiber bodywork. I think that's about all of the upgrades. I do have all the parts I've taken off of the bike (stock bodywork, rearview mirrors, stock gas cap, stock ECM, stock mudflap, all will go with the bike). I also have a front & rear stand that will go with the bike.

The bike itself needs nothing. It is in perfect condition. It makes mountains of power, handles flawlessly. And I have a clean & clear title in hand. I don't need to get rid of it, I'm just bored and want something else.

What I am most interested in trading for would be: Softail Springer, Dyna Street Bob, home built bobber, maybe a car?

I'm going to get a couple pics on here in a few... They suck because they're from my phone. This weekend I'll take some good ones with my digital camera.

Oh yeah, I put the full Griptech kit on it too. Been real happy with that stuff. A necessary mod if you ask me.

i would rather trade straight across than sell. i figure i'll let the offer stand until this weekend when i have time to take some proper pictures with better angles & details. i forgot to mention i also have the stock exhaust.

not really interested in a sportster. except maybe the newest models. really liking the 72.. mainly interested in a softail, or dyna street bob.

How did you find worse looking mirrors than the stock ones? [cool]

i am just experimenting with different mirrors. i have some bar-end mirrors too. so far i haven't been happy with any aftermarket mirrors. i considered putting the stockers back on.

Those look strikingly similar to the Mickey mouse mirrors that come stock on the xbs.

that's what i thought too. they were $12 (i think) from dennis kirk, so figured i'd try them out.

btw if you wanted to trade out some things on your bike or part some of it out (like your levers or body work) let me know and i would trade you my black body work for your red so if i DO buy your bike i can still have the black body work. kinda see what im saying?

Okay, I took some good photos today at noon. So plenty of light. I got everything out in the driveway and got some good pics. I even got a video that I can't seem to get to upload to photobucket, but I'll try again if somebody really wanted to see it. I tooted my air horn, hehe.

ha ha, success...i finally got the video to load. oh and the levers are Pazzo. They are anodized black with a "jeweled" surface, and red anodized adjusters.

It is for sale, btw. I haven't put a solid price on it yet because I was hoping to trade it for a Dyna or Softail. I'm willing to poney up a little dough for the right bike. I thought I had a deal for an '03 FXST but seems that guy may have flaked. Oh well. Went to the Harley dealer today and I hate to admit it but trading this bike in would be easy. I'd get screwed, but.... I would much rather trade it to an individual or sell it outright. At least an individual would appreciate all the extras (upgrades, spare stock parts, etc, etc...). So with that said...I think my no-bull**** price is $6000. What do you think?

But unfortunatly its fair market value of the bike......not market value plus modifications you've made. 6000 is fair. I wouldn't call it a steal and i wouldn't call you out of your mind with a sky high price. Its fair. And if you're looking to make your money back Im sure you know, put it back to stock and sell your afternarket parts on the aftermarket.

If I trade-in this bike...the stock ECM, stock levers, stock exhaust, stock bodywork all will go back on and I'll sell the aftermarket parts piece-meal on here. But that's something I'm not keen on doing. I would rather sell the bike to somebody that knew what they were getting. Either way, it's not a "fire-sale" by any means. I am still hoping that somebody with a Softail or Dyna of equal value (or close to it)will come along and want to trade out.

Bummer. I showed my dad the bike and he really wants it. He has a softail that he would have probably traded. But we did the bigbore kit with cylinders cams and pistons so he won't be getting rid of it for a while. And i think you already said no go on a lightning ss? Which he also has that he would be willing to let go though and pay the difference.

yeah, i understand. you can rest assured the bike is what i've represented it as. i rode it to another town nearby (andover, ks) after work today. to check out a couple dyna's and a softail springer. the buell is very comfy on the highway. it does get peoples attention in public. mainly because most people don't know what they're looking at. and some people still don't know what i'm talking about when i tell them it's a buell. ha ha ha ha

Yeah i understand completely. Thats why im giving the CR another chance. Cause i was spoiled by the power and i dont think i can go back to the XB's sadly. But wont go over the the I-4 side either.
