My speedometer occasionally likes to stop working on me. Its not the display cause it usually works fine but every once and a while it just sits at zero. Im guessing the speed sensor is going out or there is a bad wire. Has anyone heard of/seen this problem?

clean the speed sensor connections and put electrical grease at the connections see if that helps.

what should you use to clean sensor connections?

I like non chlorinated brake cleaner for cleaning any electrical components because it dries with out any residue. Hell I use that stuff on everything, tires, windows, changing baby diapers, keep it off paint and out of your eyes.

I had the same problem, cleaning does not work, I had to buy a new speed sensor speedometer, and now everything is OK
