We have not right to an opinion GAXB9R ? I'd hate to see the guy stock up or make a bunch of these and nobody buy. As a former business owner myself I'd appreciate peoples honesty to keep me from having a non- moving item stocked up. If they sell like crazy then congratulations to him. If they don't sell then bad for him. I guess you placed your order for some? Why don't you re-read my previous post before you say I kicked him in the balls !

This I understand as well and he probably appreciates all of your good feedback.

I just felt it was mostly negative other than netty's comment.

No harm intended.

He never said YOU kicked anyone in the balls. Maybe he was refering to the fact that NO ONE said that this looks cool. Way to take everything as a personal attack Walls.

In any cause vtech, im not a fan of chrome but i do think theses look cool. Try to offer them in black maybe?

^ would be interesting to see how black would turn out. Wander if you would try a gloss or a flat black sheen?[cool]

You have any close up pictures of it off the bike?

I'm extremely interested; in how it's attached. I've been trying to come up with a way to attach a scope to the caliper. The ZTL doesn't have enough cooling.

Yeah i was curious on the attachment as well.[cool]

I wonder how people would have reacted if it said "NEW! polished front brake caliper cover". people are always "polishing" stuff on they're bike to make it shiny, headers, frame, lip on their rims etc. anyway, keep up the awesome work vetech007[up]

Good points. Thanks for sharing your opinions.

It is attached by a pressure-activated double-sided foam tape - this is not the 3M material you can pick up a roll of at WalMart or Home Depot. This is industrial material that is tried, tested and proven on mounting motorcycle accessories. You apply firm pressure for one minute and this actually activates and induces a chemical reaction during which the material actually expands slightly to grip and fill in the surface irregularities.

I was surprized to see how much response this generated - I wasn't expecting to have any response at all :) Thanks again for your opinions.

try doing that cover in flat black, flat metalic blue, or flat green. Would look a little better.

Just a thought wouldn't a cover keep heat inside of the caliper. A big killer for brakes is heat. Just my 2cents

Possibly could keep heat within, but how much really would it keep in. If it was adapted into some type of louver styled cover would this help?

I have not done tests or made measurements so not claiming this effect is being realized here, but additional thermally-conductive mass can act as a heat sink to more effectively dissipate heat from a component.
