did i add too much when changing the oil? i added 2.5 quarts per the buell service guy in charleston.

How much oil in your airbox? Just some spray/residue or actual pooling?

You need to do the infamous Crankase Breather hose re-route. That spray is just the crankcase's unburnt gases being sprayed through the hoses into your airbox. It'll seem daunting if you've never took your airbox apart to the point you can access your air filter. Once you get started though, it's easy. :)

thanks steven. i'll give it a shot this morning. looks like a lot of other guys have had success with this mod as well.
