I was shocked to see that my owners manual says to change the belt & pulley (doesn't say f or r or both)every 15K miles! Here in AZ I've seen several low mileage Blasts for sale that have already had new belts at 5K miles or less, is it our heat? Looking at the pulleys it seems that you could fit a wider belt off a Sportster, has anyone ever tried this? Is there a wider belt available? I know there are chain conversions but I'd like to avoid that.

Fork Oil: there are no drain plugs that I can find on the lower legs so how do you drain the fork oil to change it?

My research shows that hd uses 139T belts in 1 1/8 &
1 1/2. Has anyone tried using these? Surely they'd last forever as they are for big twin oem fitment.

Doubt it would fit.

even if a bigger belt did fit im sure you would notice more drivetrain loss.

Yes, a closer look (wearing my reading glasses this time) does indeed show a front pulley only 3/4in wide. But if a Sportster pulley fits the output shaft then a wider belt should be possible. More research reqd. Doubt drivetrain loss would be much with 1 1/8in belt (just 3/8in bigger).
