My rear shock started leaking, so I got a replacement shock. How hard is it to replace the rear shock? Do I need any special tools? Or is it just unbolt the old one, bolt on the new one?
Thanks.

Unbolt old bolt in the new. You need to lift the rear of the bike, I put a jack under each peg mount.

No special tools needed . But you need to find A way to hold rear of bike up to remove and replace shock. I used cargo straps over roof truss. a cherry picker or motor puller also works well as does a tree. I also have a compleat S shock if you need one.

Sweet, thanks guys.

I also have a compleat S shock if you need one.
I got a low-mileage, used one off ebay. If I run into problems, I'll hit you up.

Just jack the bike up onto its side stand using a jack under the muffler...

Works like a charm. The shock is exceptionally easy to swap--one bolt on top, one bolt and nut (you'll need a Torx wrench or socket) on the swingarm, and remember to unbolt the remote reservoir from its clamp/resting place under the seat. Easy peasy. [up]
