THANKS to ASB for the EXCELLENT service!!

I got the bars, and putting them on was mostly painless.

I did take some pics of the stickiest parts so if anyone needs help I might be able to help get you on track.

While I had it apart I also took the extension stalk out of the front turn signals so they are in closer to the headlights. EVERYONE should at least do that much.

I may still fuss with some of the cable routing...but it all works, no problems, just me being picky...

Anyway - - here's a couple of pics during the process, and of the finished project...

I should add too that I LOVE these bars.

EXCELLENT handling - - WAY comfortable (I'm 6' tall).

It took me maybe a couple of hours to get the feel for the bars, and I absolutely love them.

I heard that they vibrate too much - -I dont think so.

I heard that they "flex"...NOPE.

I highly recommend them.

And on that note a HUGE thanks to the folks at ASB.
I ordered the bars and some new grips and had the bars in 2 days.
The grips were missed from the order and after one very easy phone call I had them the next day.

CHEERS.

Looks great, I just put on the -7degree bars (http://www.buellxb.com/Buell-XB-Forum/Buell-Lightning-XB12S-XB12Ss-CityX-XB12Scg/MY-NEW-09-Lightning-Long---XB12SS/2)

Did you have a problem with the clutch cable rubbing on one of the bolts?

Did you have a problem with the clutch cable rubbing on one of the bolts? If you look at the second to last pic above, you will see where the clutch cable goes into the housing right above the ignition switch, through a grommet and hole I drilled...

Nice to see them at the bike. Do you ride more "track style" nowI'd like to think so! ;)

The position is very comfortable. I'm more over the 'tank' now and I can sy it is much better for getting through the wind.

Speed i have to know where you got that sticker that looks like the harley badge but says Buell????? I had it made.
I got a large one for the back window of my truck, and the small one you see on the bike.

A low res version of the image I sent to them is
HERE (http://sickboy.org/XB/images/custom.jpg)
I have a high res one on my comp at home.
I think it cost about 8 dollars for the large one, and 4 for the small.
They are vinyl, full color, waterproof...

I will, and I'll take a picture of my truck window so you can get an idea of the size.

I'm at work for another 6 hours or so but I will send it tonight.

Cheers.

I have a set of the Crossroads bars for my XB9S but I do not know what degree they are. They were given to me by a friend, but when i installed them I also had a problem with the cable routing> The clutch cable wasn"t a problem but the throttle and idle cable wanted to stick. I lubed the cables before installing the bars and they work fine with the dirt bike bars I have now. Any suggestions for the routing with the Crossroads bars?

Did the person who gave the to you have the instructions? They show in the them that you can drill a hole on each side of the flyscreen housing and reroute the cables through them. I did it, and I have no problem with either sticking. Works perfect.
Here is mine

I have since bought a rubber grommet from the hardware store to make sure the clutch cable wouldnt rub.

Speedkills, how did you take the extension out of the turn signal? I would like to do this. Thanks

I didn't receive any instructions with the bars so thanks for the information on drilling the holes. That will definitely help out a lot.
