Hi all.

I purchased a used race muffler. A prior owner hacked up the outlets. I am trying to restore it.

Would one of you who has a race muffler and a protractor/machinist's square be so kind as to measure the angle of the cut on the outlets, so that I can duplicate it?

Thank you all very much for any help you may give me.

bden and chrome,

Thank you for your responses. I'm sorry that I can't post photos. The muffler I have is the factory race kit one. The two outlets are slash-cut and look to be at an angle greater than 45 degrees.

Again, thank you for your help.

I think this is the only pic I have of a race can. The angle is probably pretty close to 45 degrees. At most, maybe 50, but I doubt it.

Thank you all for your help. Got the muffler fixed yesterday. As it turns out, the angle of the cut on the outlet is 35 degrees. Can't wait to install it tonight!
