Anyone have any ideas what might be doing it. It blows as soon as the bike sends them power.

Headlights or taillight, blinkers? Mine did that when the aftermarket led strips were shorting caused by the 2 wires touching, check all your wiring, could be shorting..

Just headlights

All your grounds good? No shorting visible?

Did you install anything new, or did it just start blowing the fuse all of a sudden.

A new harness and I switched it back to being a firebolt.

I would recheck all your light connections and look at the pins inside the plug, see if any are making contact with each other. If its not there check the plug on the headlight switch. Check the wiring harness to see if there are any crushed areas on the loom, you could have wires grounding out inside the harness. Just my thoughts. Good luck I hope you fix your problem soon.

Yea, I'm just waiting to have some down time before I pull it to check

so I finally just hooked up a new lighting system that uses the same bulbs just a different setup. then I used that wiring to plug the factory lights in after I made sure it worked. well, when I put the factory lights in the fuse for the new wiring blew.... My whole problem was the bulbs, somehow the bulbs in my lights was causing the fuse to blow. so now I have a new wiring setup that I can choose to turn off completely and I put some accent lighting inn.

High Amps draw will cause that to happen . The Fuse that blows can't handle all that voltage being Drawn off a regular Stock Wiring System. Maybe a different wiriing with the new lights and a relay and proper size fuse seperate will help. Remember the Stator can only charge the Battery so fast so if you make a lot of short Trips then be careful so you are not left stranded.Good Luck.Ride Safe. *Jimi

I'm probably going to take the new wiring off since I figured out the problem, or I'm going to use it for something else. I wouldn't turn it on during the day though. The LEDs are through an accessory plug I added, which is actually so I can charge my phone.

I would love to find out what’s up with these light, a few months ago I posted on blowing my light on my XB12XT, and I thought I found the fix but just a few days later they blew again.
Since then I used at least 4 more sets of light before I just installed a after market set under the stock lights, I keep the high beam light new but never used it its just there for the Law. low beam forget it it blows in under 4 min of run time now. Sucks but have to do what you have to do, no codes to work with. GL After market set was under $30 with Cables, lights, mounting hardware, and on off switch.
