Not really his fault the original seller didn't know what he had. He just took advantage of it. It is too bad it didn't go to someone that actually wanted the seat though.... Like me! No way I'll pay $300+ for it now.

I think the price is high but you know theres a sucker born every minute.

^This. Way to F over people on the forum that could have gotten something they really wanted for a good price. Hopefully it wasnt his intention and ran short on funds for some reason or another. In that case totally understandable.

Seats sell for $250+ all day, I had one and sold it for what I had into it since I recovered it and didn't like the overall look versus the low seat, but some guys look to make profit off fellow Buellers.

The low seat is nothing more than a hard plastic seat covered in vinyl. LOL Just kidding but they are brutally uncomfortable IMO.

the low seat isnt anywhere near as comfortable. i could last about 1.5 hrs on the low seat before i was noticeably uncomfortable. seems like i can ride all day on the select seat.

I have to say, out of all the bikes ive had the, select seat is the most comfy. I lucked out and my xbs had one on it when i bought it. I didnt know what i had either until i posted pics of the bike and ppl started making offers on the seat...lol. I like the looks of the low much better though.

Yeah thats effed up.. Ive been looking for a select seat for a long time now and then you have people coming along snatching them up just to sell them for a profit for themselves.. pretty sad really... I feel more bad for the idiot paying 555 dollars though... seriously?

...little shady maybe, wrong no. I myself bought a set of 3 seats and sold off the extras, one of which was a select. Did I make a profit? Yes a small one. Do I feel bad about it? No, I bought the set of 3 as an investment and sold it as such. I wasn't looking to rip anyone off, and don't think I did but in selling it I made a business transaction and that is what business is all about, buy low sell high.
I mean I also have my bike listed for sale for a high price at the moment. Is it fair? Kinda.... Do I want to sell? not particularly but at the price I have it listed for I would and then I would buy another. If someone wants to buy it at my price so be it I'm not selling something that you need like a cure for cancer it's a commodity that you want.
I guess I'm just trying to say may e ur being a little hard on flaya? I mean do you think buellsterparts is buying and selling for zero gain?

True but I feel there is a difference between taking advantage of someone selling something low because they dont know what it is and the person buying it saying they have needed one and been looking for one for a long time... which he can chime in on his own accord.. but pretty sure thats not true if he got it and literally turned right around and sold it.. You bought a set of seats and sold them but to fellow members and helped out some people in the process... not for a huge gain on your part. Big difference in my books.. would I care if he helped out fellow buellers on here first.. probably not.

I can understand that tac, and is part of the reason I did not list the seat on ebay even though someone said they had seen one go over 500[up]

Ok, I stopped reading after the first couple of that's f'd ups. I was the one who bought the seat. I didn't think he would sell it to me after someone offered him 400 for it. I loved the seat for the short time I had it but I sold my bike so I could save for a house. I considered putting it on here but knew the original owner would get upset for getting more then he sold it for. I had no idea it would go that high.

well things happen, good luck with your house. i think most of us wanted to know you didnt just buy it for the purpose of flipping it.
any plans for another buell in the future?

Certainly nothing wrong with making a profit on something. Just that when it seems someone was taken advantage of it sucks.
Anyway good luck and hope you get another buell soon. I bought a house about 1.5 years ago, best financial decision I've made by far. My mortgage is cheaper than an apartment, get it while they're cheap!

As the original seller, I'm not pissed at anyone. Glad Flaya made out like a bandit. I just felt like it would have been wrong to not flow through on the offer to sell at the price I listed. Flaya actually agreed to a somewhat higher price to cover the cost of my new seat. I had planned to list the select seat on eBay myself but on a whim, just decided to offer it here on the forum.

Well at least we know the rest of the story. I ment no hard feelings towards Flaya & i'm glad there are none between you two. i just thought the situation was weird. (i think Flaya may have set a record for the most $$ for a select seat)
