Remove Muffler Control Module?

Hi all.

Am installing my factory race muffler. Should I remove the cable only, or disconnect and remove the controller also?

You do either. I would personally take it all out.

I left the cable on mine so i didnt get any CELs. But like redstang said, you could remove both.

You could.....

Leave both cable and servo on bike as its not hurting anything.

Leave the servo and remove the cable

Remove the servo leave the cable

Remove both the cable and servo

WARNING..... Removal of the servo without a emulator plug or ecm spy capabilitys will cause a service engine light to come on.

I presonally removed the cable and left the servo on the bike.

Thank you all very much. I removed servo and left cable. The EBR ecm I purchased was for the K&N and Buell race muffler combo. Had the TPS reset last weekend after installing the filter and ecm. Noticeable difference in driveability, even with stock muffler. No lights on, yet.

you will not get a light with a race or EBR ecm...... only a stock one that is untouched.
