I have been contemplating the plans I have for my '03 XB9S. I have the factory race kit for it already, but am planning to put an XB12 crank and rods in it this winter season. I'm told by the Buell guy at my local Harley dealer that the '03 has lower gear ratios than the later models and with the longer stroke will make massive torque. I'm looking to make a 'Busa eater, well stoplight to stoplight anyway. Anyway. my question is what do I need to do to the ECM to make it work? The longer stroke will obviously change the timing and probably many other variables. will this require a custom map? Anyone have any ideas?
