Hello All,

I need advise on lowering my wife's 2003 XB9R. I have been on the hunt for a lowering kit everywhere and no one in my area has any kits or parts. I need to lower it about 1-1 1/2 inches so she can be able to flat foot it better. I've searched the web and can't find anything either. Maybe I'm overlooking something and does anyone have a fabrication idea that might help my problem. Thanks

You need to get Scg suspension, the '03 model has 41mm forks, '05 and up have 43mm forks. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Any set of Scg or "SL" forks will work. Scg's have 41mm forks. More importantly, the diameter of the fork leg where the lower triple clamps to is the same diameter as the '03 XB9's fork, so there is no need to use a different lower clamp.

I became intimately familiar with all of this, having recent traded my Scg suspension for SS suspension.
