Bought an 07 XB9r about 2 months ago, paid 4000 from a dealer with 10,3xx miles.

Upgrades coming soon:
Custom paint (I have a degree in collision repair, and a painter by profession)

Click n roll levers, bike was knocked over and bent the brake lever :/

Tune up, new filters etc

Also want to do some type of tune on the bike to give me better throttle response, im thinking about testing it out at a local road raceway to see how i like it

I hope to learn a lot from you guys!

Bike is currently stock aside from a Jardine GP pipe

SKoOL Thanks! The only thing holding me back from painting it right now is i cant decide on the scheme. Since its a naked bike its kinda hard to come up with something that looks right. Any reference pics on custom XB-Rs would be appreciated!

welcome to the family/gong show, we're glad your here!

as for paint scheme..
since you mentioned the viper blue, hows aboot a pearl white with a couple of viper blue racing stripes either down the middle of offset to one side..
maybe toss blue or white on the rim like some guys do with rim tape..

possibilities are endless
;)

I know they are endless and thats where i get stuck, im so indecisive lol. I paint cars on bikes on the side apart from my full time job. So i want something to showcase my skills. Im leaning towards white with a laced tribal pattern right now. Ive been looking on the internet for some pics on a bike but cant find any.

Welcome!

Are your plastics in good shape? If so, maybe look to save them and paint some in a lesser condition. Buell parts are becoming fewer and fewer.

But either way, I'll be interested in the new color scheme! [up] good luck!

And the plastics are all good except the seat fairing. It was originally all red but someone rattle canned it black and must have traded the airbox for one off a different bike.

That is kind of a weird picture. At any rate, welcome to the neighborhood. I'm not sure what preference to give you on paint. I used a black color shifting paint. Everyone seems to like that.

I was actually snooping around and saw your bike, very cool! What brand on paint did u use? Looks like prizmacoat?

It was dupli-color Ice. It comes in a kit of 3 cans, black base, mid color, and clear. I put a few shots of enamel over it.
