Of your gonna buy new. Buy Keda. Custom made and it's around the same price as D&D maybe a little more. Performance wise the d&d was the worst performer on American Sportbike.com i may be wrong though. Sound wise on the other hand is very good to me. But if you don't like loud don't get it. The D&D is the loudest by far to me and sounds good too.

If you're into sound, consider the GB exhaust (look on youtube for a few videos). It has the most unique rumble, most comparable to old school American muscle cars. Also a good performer.

And when you're ready to tune after swapping out the exhaust and intake filter, come check out my business: The Tuniversity (http://www.thetuniversity.com/). I'm a forum sponsor and moderator, and well reviewed on this forum and others.

Chin fairing brackets lets you keep the bottom fairing if you want it to stay on.

Also if your on a budget Randy here in GA does the hawk. If your just in for sound check him out. There may be performance gains from the hawk. His exhaust wasn't in the test though. He is trying to get them to test it I think.

One I made, RT-XB-1. Ceramic coated silver to match the frame.

Pic of it off the bike.

Uh, the GB is NOT quiet. Maybe not quite as loud as a D & D, but it can never be accused of being a "quiet" exhaust...

Here's a small sound clip:

I love the sound of my D and D. Performance wise, unless you're a nut for every inch of possible power, the bike will have plenty of power. I have the D and D the k and n a d the ebr ecm and it runs phenominal. 2007 xb12ss. Im too nervous to tune myself so I stuck with ebr.

My neighbors dont like me leaving at 5am though.

its a great pipe and has no down side once the bike is tuned for it.
