Oklahoma City, and it is flat... There are lakes with decent roads around them, other than that I have not found any curvy roads worthy of twisty status here.

Metro Atlanta here. Well, kind of. I actually have a BMW K1200s, which is basically an old man's sportbike. My riding buddy though has just traded in her Blast on a new cg and we ride together a lot. Since she's somewhat mechanically challenged (summer blond), I joined the forum so that I could get info for her. Anyway, for you guys near the Dragon, we'll probably be there the weekend of June 24. Dunno yet whether we'll stay at Fontana Village, the Ironhorse Lodge, or the Tapoco Lodge (all are very nice in their own way), and we'll be meeting some other K12 riders there, but both the Dragon and the Cherohala Skyway are awesome rides and anyone is welcome.

Pics from our ride there in March

Man I seen 3 Buells today in my small town! Cant believe it. Tried to chase one down, a black and orange lightning he/she was riding with some jap bike, but I got stuck in heavy city traffic and lost them:(. Then I passed an all blood red Lightning on my way home just now, and I couldn't turn around:(. THEN!!! Not 2 mins later a Black/Amber 12R parked in the lot of some mechanic strip mall place, no one around to claim it. I even revved my engine hoping he/she would hear it and think someone was stealing their bike. Another:(. So my small town has like 60-65k people, that seems like alot more Buells-per-capita than most you guys seem to have. Now to catch one....

Seems like a good place for a first post I just picked up an XB9R yesterday.

I'm near Petaluma, Ca, maybe 40 min from the bay . . . apparently near some good roads, but I haven't found them yet. I will though, I will.

i grew up in St. Louis, Mo and the Twisties were a plenty. i have since relocated after an 8yr stretch in the Navy, and now reside in Houston, TX where my local group of northside naked biker buddies and i are constantly on the prowl for the famed twisty road. Unfortunately it seems that the variety of twistys here in Houston seem to be a much harder breed to locate.

Ok Buellxb, I have a challenge or request, whichever, for you. Can we build a map for U.S. and for outside U.S. for everyone to attach to? So everyone from Cali would attach to that state and so on and so forth? Make it quite a bit easier to locate other riders in our areas. It could even be a part of your profile, where you list the city and state(or country) and it automatically populates the world map? Just a suggestion. And by the way, the weather here in socal is absolutely beautiful!

^^^^ a few of us have mentioned this before. I'm sure it's on one of the long lists of things to add. I'd like to be able to search by users location so we can see riders in our area, or see if there are riders where we're riding to.

Place a pushpin in the town where you live with a description of your make/model bike and any other info you want to share (keep in mind that it's viewable by anyone).

I'm technically the owner, but made it so that anyone can edit/add to it. Have fun.

Well, Home sweet home is PG county MD riding all over the DMV, endless routes in all directions. Unfortunately the Army has me living in Texas. . . lots of nothing and flat straight roads.
