I've I found this adventure jacket online and was wondering what the difference is from the mesh jacket. I would prefer a mesh jacket but if the adventure is not much different I would'nt mind. Also I feel like 250 is a bit pricey for the jacket. Does anyone have an idea of what its worth.

I have this jacket and I like it. The main difference is that this one is not mesh, it does have panels in the front that can be zipped out for ventilation though.

Also has vents in the back and arms but is quite a bit hotter that the mesh in the summer, but is much more versatile. It can be worn in the winter with the panels in and with the liner.

Overall a good jacket. I can't answer on what its worth...I guess its worth is what ever somebody wants to pay for it.

Forgot to add, there are pants available that zip onto the jacket.

I have the mesh jacket and its great for warm weather riding. But if you ride in colder weather, 60 or below, then the adventure jacket is better for you.

I figured it was more of a cool weather jacket, this is my current jacket: http://www.ssgear.com/catalog/item.cfm?ItemsID=9b7910fd-55da-4c5b-8146-0e01e651538b so as far as riding in the summer I would assume it's about the same if not hotter. Biggest problem with the mesh is I can't find one! There was one posted on the forum but was sold before I saw it[sad]

Ouch that is pricey! You are gonna be pissed when I tell you that I got mine from a former Buell guy on craigslist for $80. I had no idea they were so expensive everywhere else...

If you don't ride in too hot of a climate than I'd say it is plenty 'vented'. I wanted a mesh jacket as well but here in Colorado this Jacket works great since you can leave in 80* temps and it might rain and drop the temp to ~50*. It is a REALLY good all day kind of jacket!

I live in Indianapolis so we experience it all. Also I was thinking that was super pricey for a used jacket.

I just got a whole adventure suit for 350. I thought it was worth 175$ each. I really just wanted the jacket but he would not sell them seperate. To me, the adventure WAS mesh, but I've been sweating all summer in a leather jacket.

Also its in Australia, shipping is estimated @ 80$ o top of 250.....
