In the Spring 2007 edition of Fuell magazine (p30), Abe Askenazi, Buell Director of Analysis, Test, and Engineering Process had a good response on steering dampers. Basically stating there is no need for a steering damper on Buell motorcycles on the street.

Its not needed on street bikes, thanks for that. but Get the wobbles at 125 and tell me that a stabilizer isn't needed

Really, I've topped my 9r out multiple times never got the wobbles once. Sure I bet it's nice, but not needed.

Your 9r tops out at like 115, I'm sure your wobbles weren't bad. Have you ever ridden with a stabilizer? Why do you think stock 1000's come with them... If your not interested, then find a different thread to troll in

9 tops out at around the same speed as the 12, good try though.

Our Buells are not SS bikes FYI. They dont need a damper in most cases.

I've had it up to 130 multiple times, with it hitting an indicated 140 once....actually....

assholes. Though i will say i never had the wobbles with my xb's even topping them out all the time.

But they are needed in my opinion on the CR's Both CR's ive had even with proper setups had wobbles under hard accel. Dont get them anymore with my GPR!

If anything its great piece of mind at a great price!
