I went to the Triumph/BMW dealership just outside of San Antionio today to go look at the Triumph Tiger and what not. Talked to a nice gentleman there about the adventure bikes and then the BMW1000 and told him I'm dedicated to the new EBR bikes when they are released but that the Tiger really sounded fun to ride, and then he mentioned that today they had filed to become an EBR dealership! And that in November THIS YEAR, they were going to be getting aN EBR bike!! I'm assuming there going to have an 1190 but he dosent mentione they were getting one until I asked if he knew any info on the 2013 release dates...so I'm day dreaming that maybe there not that far away into the future. He also mentioned a small buell model with the development of the hero Indian stuff buell has been working on. He seemed sure that there was going to be a small buell/hero bike aswell.

Awesome trip to the dealership.

I want a second bike so bad, almost went for a ktm rc8r but meh not a performer, considering still a daytona 675. If the release is to happen soon than later itll be an EBR

maybe EBR is going to release a Hero moped as a teaser!

Thats really what he seemed to know the most about. I mentioned the 3 models we just read about but he was talking about a small hero/Buell. And then like i said...Whens the expected release...do you know any details

his answer.." were getting a bike in November this year..But didn't say what kind.

article said ebr would be releasing 2013 models, so regardless gotta show them pretty soon considering all the other bike brands out there are releasing their 2013 bikes.

Not sure If i will go for one right off the bat, kinda wanna see what everyone else runs into first ;)

My buddy works at the local harley dealership and they too were solicited too about selling the ebr's. The owner used to race buells back in his hay day and is planning on getting a few to sell when they come out. No pictures yet though. So upsetting [sad]

Funniest post on the forum! When I read that, I re-read it like 5 times trying to figure out if I was reading that right! Funny ****!

Anyhow, crazytexan I hope he doesn't start out with some weak moped or beginner ****. He needs to kick the doors open and come with a serious market contender right out of the gate. No starter bull****!

Just my opinion.

I think AF1 in Austin may carry the EBR line too. Great dealership and super helpful guys there, they really helped me sort my RSV4 out.

He already said the new models would have 1190 motors. If there is a little version, it will be with his collaboration rather than his company name.

I think everyone should hound their local dealer to get EBR in their line-up. I definetly would love to upgrade someday and so far theres not a sport tourer out there that i like ne more than my ULY, the rest have no soul or cool factor. Sounds like the future "AX" from EBR may be just what I'm looking 4.

agreed! thats the kinda thing im lookin for :D

good vid. BTW. I'm pretty sure a Uly woulda broke in half in the first 8 mins. never pushed mine offroad or jumped it, just a lil gravel/ dirt road action.

I jumped my STT a few times. It took it just fine. I had been out riding on some local dirt bike trails more than a few times with the factory Scorpion tire on it. With alittle more meat under it, I think I could have pushed it alittle harder.

I used to air out my STT over a particular railroad track berm in Seattle all th time... :D. She flew ok--not CR450SM ok, but great for a 450lb street bike...

it'd be even better if u could just option it out from ebr either for street/touring or adventure. Optional different ride heights and suspension tuning, bags etc.. Kinda like the X vs the XT but even more each to their purpose.

Hope they won't put the EBR badge on some cheapo Indian motorcycle, unless it's only for the Indian market, or if the have released a few proper bikes first and then release a learners bike as good as the Indian-made KTM Duke 200, or better.

I know of a dealer in the DFW area that is on its way to being an EBR dealer. Really hoping that it comes to fruition.
Also, highly anticipating the release of the next three EBR bikes... looking forward to seeing them and knowing that they are real and not just vague teasing letters.

Great news, now the only thing that remains is to unveil the new models. The more they delay, the more customers they loose. You don't have to actually be ready to sell them to have customers starting to save money and waiting in line to order your bike instead of someone elses, you just have to present them to the public.

GAXB9R
12-22-2012, 08:57 AM
I agree^^ , but I don't think they are really "losing" customers. Yeah they might buy another bike now, but that doesn't mean they will not by one then. I could buy 3 more bikes before they come out and still want one. To ec there own. Have a good Christmas

That's not good from a couple stand points. Eslick came on really strong towards the end of the season, and all of that work EBR and Eslick spent dialing in his bike resulted in a lot of lost time. Sure they learned a ton, but it'll be like starting over from scratch with a new rider.

I don't know, Sony announced playstation 1 a year+ before they actually put it up for sale, while Sega had a new really good game console out on the market. So people never bought the Sega waiting for what Sony had announced to be the best console ever by miles. When it came out, an year and a half later, it wasn't that much better than the Sega, but it was too late for Sega. Look where Sega is now and how many Playstations have been sold.
Of course these are not bikes, they are electronics, but on the other hand they don't cost as much as bikes do, so you can see where I'm going... I might be dead wrong though, I'm not an expert, just my opinion. :)
