does anyone use a rear stand on their ULY? if so what brand do you use and where did you get it? I want one but just can't bring myself to spend $150 on a PIT BULL from American Sportbike. They look great but I know a less expensive one would also work.

Check out the GPI Industries front and back stands, both for $109! These are considered "blems" but people say the blem is so minor you can hardly see it. Otherwise they are $139 for both. The Pit Bull is indestructable, but I hear you on the price. Because I had so many variations of bikes, I had 5 of them at one time. I just sold my single sided swingarm stand because I sold my Multistrada, I'm down to two now. However, I now need a couple stands for my new CR, so it looks like I'll be calling GPI shortly.

A lot of people swear by T-Rex stands. I just ordered a set (the price was right), so I can't give you my firsthand review until later this week.

I own a set of t-rex stands and the bike has been up on them for a few weeks now with no problems. Great product for the price (less than $150 shipped).

I can't give you my firsthand review until later this week. Please let us know how they work.

samiam901: Any problems getting the rear stand to "bite" on the small lip on the swingarm as you pick the rear up?

I have the front and rear PitBull stands and love them they are great but unless you plan to use them all the time for race purpose they are sort of over the top for a normal riders needs.

If I did it again I would have gotten something different and saved the cash.

I bought these:

Cycle Stands (http://www.flyncycle.com/biketek_motorcycle_front_rear_stand_combo_p/pdsdeal3.htm)

They work pretty good for the occasional lift.

Heee's what they look like...
