Rebuilt shock vs brand new

I found a brand new shock for $320 shipped vs having one rebuiltmformaround $380 plus shipping.

Are there any advantages of having the shock rebuilt vs just getting the oem one? It's a pretty rare find so I want to jump on it if I can.

I'd buy the new one and hold on to your old one you can never have to many extra parts. Thats just me, its really up to you a rebuild should bring it back to new condition plus save you a few bucks.

what kind of shock is it? I have a standard one from a 04 S that only has like 5k on it ill make hell of a deal!!
