i have an 04 xb12r and i am trying to split the case. i have the motor out and nearly everything is taken apart except the rear isolator mount that bolts into the case. the manual says to remove the two forward bolts then the rear bolts. my problem is how? the bushing is in the way of these bolts. i may be able to get vise grips on the bolts but i know that is not the correct way of doing this especially if you are looking to reinstall to the correct torque spec. Can anybody clue me on how to remove the isolator without damaging anything.

I use a 3/8" drive ball end hex. Be sure to keep the drive as close to in-line with the bolt as possible to avoid stripping the head or breaking the tool. Otherwise, you can use a 1/4" hex screwdriver insert and a 1/4" box end wrench on it.
