FS: Corbin Seat for Firebolt

Up for sale is my pretty good condition Corbin seat for our XB9R and XB12R Firebolts. The seat has been run for the past two years.

When installed, the seat looks perfect. There are no tears or nicks visible when the seat is installed. There are however a few small nicks and abrasions on the lower surfaces of the seat which are pictured below. Also, there is some surface rust on the mounting tabs and hardware, again pictured and again, not visible when installed.

The suede on the forward portion of the seat that usually rubs on the frame is in great condition. Overall, the seat is great shape, save the minor imperfections noted above.

The seat is super comfortable and certainly helps keep your butt planted when riding. Its a major upgrade from the factory seat. Check out Corbin's site for additional specifications: http://www.corbin.com/buell/xb9r.shtml

Is there a reason why the Corbin site states this seat is for the 04-05 Lightning? Was there some change in something under the seat that makes it not compatible with later model (07) 12R's?

I can guarantee this seat will not work on a lightning. It will fit any year XB9R and XB12R. Thanks for looking.

Don't forget about the 1125R/CR. it will fit those as well. GLWS

They're listed at $259 on the Corbin site. You think they'll actually come off that price? I think that's already less than what they were selling for over the past couple years ($299-ish).

Overall I like the Corbin seat and have been considering upgrading to one for some time now - what made me reluctant and kept me from pulling the trigger before now is that i have seen a negative thing ir two posted on here about the Corbin for Buell. Not anything terribly bad, as I still see myself getting one, but enough to have made me proceed with performing other upgrades first and wait on upgrading the seat at the time.

Just wanted to say that Timeless is a stand up seller. The seat was shipped fast, packaged well, and was like new. A great deal and a great seller. Would definitely do business again in a heartbeat.
