Please help asap

This has happened to me twice. While cruising down the highway my bike acts like it hits the rev limiter. I immediately pull in the clutch and the bike returns to normal. When this happens, the FI light blinks. It stops blinking when the bike returns to normal. Both times it only happened for about two seconds. The first time it happened was about a week ago, and then it happened again today. Probably 200 miles between instances

I am on my way from Florida to Pennsylvania. I hope I am not encountering any issue that will leave me stranded. Does anyone know what's going on?

It can be something simple, like a loose connection.... Or something more difficult like the cam sensor...
It's hard to do a road side trouble shot but, at your next stop jump your diagnostic plug and count the flashes and figure out what code is flashing and go from there....

Try bypassing the clutch switch. It's on the bottom side of your clutch perch. Just unplug and jump the two wires together.
