Hi all

I am looking at changing the front of my XB12S to the Firebolt front end. Do you perhaps know if it can be done and what is required to do it?

Thanks

LMK if you want to sell your front end. I want to convert my R front end to an S front end (but I'm stingy and don't want to get rid of mine)

Might as well, 1001 have done it before you and I've yet to understand why. The Lightning front end is more unique than any bike out there. Firebolts look cookie cutter a 100 yds away. I'm sure if you google "firebolt frontend to Lightning conversion" you'll find lots of info.

ah yes, a true Lightning Bolt conversion. This mod I like. The bolt tail looks good on a Lightning IMO

did the S to R conversion recently, swapped it back...I have a list already compiled for parts needed with price list from three of the best online sources

Thanks guys for all the info. After looking at trying to get parts in South Africa and the prices here i decided against it. The total conversion this side of the world will end up costing around $2700 and that will be basic prices excluding shipping. In South Africa we get ripped on everything we bring in from your side of the world.

Thanks anyway

The only reason i liked it was due to the forward riding position of the bolt.
