Went to put new grips on last night. Throttle tube was cracked in about 6 different places. Called local HD to see what I could find. All they said was that the OEM grip comes with the tube (part #N0051.K) I'd rather just get a new tube because I want my new gel grips! :)

I've heard R1 tubes fit. Anyone have any idea the part number or year on these?

R1 tubes do fit with some modification of the housing and will give you a shorter throttle. I've been meaning to do this mod but just never have. Sorry...I don't have the PN for you but a little Google searching should yield results fairly quickly.

Motion pro 01-0094 for r1 tube ---> http://www.amazon.com/Motion-Pro-01-0094-Throttle-Sleeve/dp/B000WJ7OIA

Fit my 06 Uly with zero mods. Can't tell any difference than stock. It's the same Twist ratio and everything. Has a pop out end cap, and the ridges on the tube hold my grip without any glue.

Thanks! Ill try that one if this one doesn't fit: Yamaha YFZ R6 2003-2008 Throttle Sleeve Tube Motion Pro - eBay $10

Finally found something on another post saying it would just drop in, no problem.

Have a look at this thread. (http://www.buellxb.com/Buell-XB-Forum/Buell-Firebolt-XB12-XB9/Shorten-turn-to-WOT/2/)

The 01-0094 works for a stock replacement and the above link is if you want the shorter throttle. Good luck!

I have two stock throttle tubes if you want one pm me. But I run a r6 throttle tube 02 if I remember correctly. It definitely is a shorter pull and definitely requires some dremal work. Takes 5 min tops to make it look good too. I don't have the pn on hand but I'll see if I can find what I bought.

It is extremely easy to find the OEM replacement. I typed in "Buell throttle tube" into google search engine and it was the third suggestion down. [confused] Can't decide if lazy or eager to fire off thread.

Strip the OEM grips and put on your gels.

I don't mind stock pull, it a just easier to buy a Yamaha one if it doesn't have a grip. It would save me removing the stock grip. My stt came with foam and it's falling apart, plus the tube is cracked.

What's the big deal about removing the stock grip? 1 slice and the grip is gone.
