WTB/WTT - XB12 primary gear swap

Looking for the factory primary gear (38-tooth?) and chain for an '08 XB12 Ulysses.

I recently bought an 08 Uly that has the xb9 primary gear in it. I'd like to take it out and go back to the xb12 gear (and chain).

I would gladly buy it outright but I would like to keep my 12 gearing.

Only 2008-2010 models will interchange the front primary sprocket as the crankshaft splines are different.

If I may ask do you know what the top speed is with the xb9 gearing and also what the rpms are like around 75mph

Your pulleys are different than the 12 though...or at least the rear is. Not 100% sure on the front.

The XB9 (except 2003) and XB12 have the same pulleys and belt for the final drive. The only difference between them is the front primary sprocket and primary chain length.

My initial impression was that the 09 Uly first gear was high. Now that I am used to it, it is great on pavement and in traffic. Ridden some gravel roads and it did pretty good, but I imagine to get off road on the trails, climbing, descending, switchbacks, etc.... a lower gearing would be a great advantage?
