Looks like he gearing up with cash for production. I like the last line off the article and I too hope he learned for his last business experience!

Glad he is keeping majority control at least. Hopefully we will see a bike in within the year!

Fingers crossed that this all works out well.

It'd be nice to have an honest American sport bike being produced again. Though, I wonder what percentage will be American since Hero is involved (nothing against Hero, I'm just curious).

not too be a drag but there is a picture around that breaks down the parts to the XB's and shows what countries made what.
'Merican made motor and a few other parts assembled in the states but the majority of parts that make up our beloved XB's are outsourced.

My personal take on it is this,
I could care less where it was made, who made it and all that patriotic spin that seems so important (hell I could care less if it was 'made' in Canada eh, hand built by Wayne Gretzky & Guy LaFleur at the Bombardier plant in Sherbrooke

The look, the sound the bike just is and thats what sold me on owning one!

Regardless if it was Erik Buell or Muiji el Hafni who came up with the idea, I'm liking it.

EBR and all the noise that goes with that outfit, def not my speed and I honestly could care less if if and when they come out with new bikes.

Where I live and the roads that I have at my disposal to ride on dictate that I will be moving over to a dual sport adventure bike sooner then later but I digress 'cause I still groove on BamBam and I always will consider BuellXB . com to be my second home

There is a lure to Buell being "American" even though the overall majority of the bike is more global than anything else.

Very much agreed. [up]

As long as he has control and has final say I don't have a problem with it. He is a smart man and not likely to let something similar to the HD debacle happen a second time. Plus it will help us in getting an EBR bike down to a price point that most of us can afford. I wish him the best of luck!
