2007 Buell Blast, stock turn signals broke on both front and rear. Replaced front and all was well, except turn signals flashed twice as fast as normal, no big deal. Tried to replace rear today and everything connected well but similar issue. Both turn signals now only stay solid no flashing. This is quite the challenge and I cannot figure out an obvious issue they connect great. Maybe I'm not connecting them well enough? Any advice peeps?! Appreciate any help !!

What kind of turn signals did you replace them with? LEDs by chance?

That'd be correct

You need an led relay or you need to do the diy mod to your existing relay. I'm sure someone will chime in with the diy link.

So now they come on and stay on. That sounds like there is an open circuit. Similar to a bad bulb on a stock incandescent (non-LED) lamp. Recheck your wiring connections. Then LED relay or LED relay DIY mod will come into play when you have them flashing at a rapid rate again (which involves adding a resistor across the signal hot and ground).

What the OP is describing is exactly what happens when you run LED flashers on a Blast.

When only running one set, front or back, you get fast strobing. When running both sets you get solid on without flashing.

You need an LED flasher relay.

Put the new relay in place of the old flasher relay.

No offense, but if you don't know how to replace the flasher relay, do not attempt to modify the existing one. It's asking for trouble and future issues and Sparky should be ashamed of himself for not noticing your [lack of] skill with the electrical system.

I just did this today to my Lightning, but only had the double speed blinking. I hacked up the relay box pretty good, but just wrapped it a couple times in electrical tape. Put led bulbs in the front signals, ASB rear LEDs in the back. If your gonna mod the existing relay and can't figure out which pin, just look for the little half circle "notch" on the black plate the connectors are on, that will help you find #7 easily

Will one of these work? Or should I head over to a autoshop?

Those are unknown if they will work or not. I'd say the first one definitely not.

I gave you three links to known-good flasher units, two of which can be bought at any auto supply store.

Ok I went out and bought the ep36 from advance. But there's a. New probelm. The front turn signals now blink at a regular rate. But the rear signals do not turn and the brake light is also not working at all. Maybe I'm missing something?
