rubber carburator boot/sleeve

My friend bought a new rubber sleeve that connects to the carburator but he cant get it to stay on. Any thoughts? clamps are as tight as they can be.

It may be the wrong boot. Contact Thumpe (http://buellridersonline.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7730) for a new revised and longer-life boot design.
