I'm a fan of almost anything Buell. But that looks like most of the ZX-14's and Howyabusa's in Fleridia. Square tube extended swing arm and all....

I know, I know, It's totally my fault for being in Flerida in the first place!!:p

I'm sure the 9 second part is cool, but looking at it makes me want to cry.

Not a huge fan of teh nawz but its a cool drags bike. They ruined a perfectly awesome handling bike IMO.

I understand the purpose of the design for straight line WOT, but damn that thing is f*&king ugly. The "ram air" thingy molded to the airbox left me in a weird state of confusion between laughing and disgust...just weird.

Of course serious competition vehicles are purpose-built. You wouldn't show up with a MotoGP machine to compete in a NHRA motorcycle drag racing national event, any more than you would show up with a Pro Stock motorcycle drag bike at a Formula One road course. C'mon guys - these bikes are built or modified respective to the type of racing or riding you intend to do.

That's actually from 2007 or earlier, they used it on the XBRR and it was a factory piece as far as I know.

Tuned sealed airbox + ram air = more HP

... one factor to a quarter mile pass in the nines.

Another factor of course is the longer wheelbase enabled by the extended swing arm - whether aesthetically pleasing or not, functional to attaining greater control in keeping the front wheel down and preventing a wheelie during the launch, which is key to attaining a quick as possible 60 foot time, crucial to running the quickest quarter mile time. Wheelie upon launch = slower E.T.

I seem to recall someone listing one on eBay a few months ago.
