case latches

looking for alternative latches for the cases. I have two broke. The top latch is 82.00? No way am I paying that. Has anyone done something different?

I don"t know of a way to adopt another latching system and make it look good. What will keep you from breaking latches is to never use the latch to pull the case closed. Always push your case lid closed to check for anything that could be protruding into the sealing surface because closing the case using the latch can cause problems.

No problem - ASB is great to deal with, too.

I just ordered a side and top latch for my Uly. The top one is shot, and the side one is cracked and going to break any day now. If you're careful about closing them, they should last a while. But I always carry a spare 1" wide strap just in case one breaks.

Anyone know where to get a top latch for the Outdoorsman series? Same issue as with the older latches. This one broke on the end that is riveted to the box itself, the other end is fine. No one seems to know where I can replace this and i need my topbox for touring as my brake light is wired through to it. Thanks in advance!! [confused]
