exhaust valve

I pulled my exhaust servo because it was toast. Turned off the servo function in the ecm so there is no "CEL". My question now is do I need to pull the valve on the muffler so it stays "pulled" open?

I would. More noise and more power! huh huh huh...
Safety wire it open (against the spring) on the muffler, or pull the cable and zip tie it open that way.
