creates more backpressure at lower rpm.

....which in turn increases that awesome Torque! Only the 12's have it though.

cool, is it better than other designs like packing etc?

I would think so. It's electronically controlled to provide additional "grunt" at specific RPM's and doesn't require maintenance.

To be honest, I spend more time on these forums than I should and been doing that for a while now. I've never heard of Termignoni, let alone heard of someone with one on a Buell.

For those curious as I was about Termignoni, here's a link complete with dyno charts & pics: Termignoni Slip-On Exhaust (http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/webshop/artikel.asp?guid=YXHFSC&aid=1126&cid=110&s=&a=)
Here's a pic also. The XB12 stock actuator valve is utilized with this system, located in the elbow/header tube that you see pictured.

Here's the link: AmericanSportbike.com (http://www.americansportbike.com/) Just under the "Shop Here" link is a link called "XB Exhaust Shootout Test Report". Click and download this. In it you'll find plotted Dyno Runs, soundbytes, and reviews on some of the more popular exhausts out there. Very nice to have.
