hello, what dose the exhaust valve do?

the stock pipe has it and some aftermarket performance pipes have it like Termignoni...

creates more backpressure at lower rpm.

....which in turn increases that awesome Torque! Only the 12's have it though.

cool, is it better than other designs like packing etc?

any one run the Termignoni on their buell?

I would think so. It's electronically controlled to provide additional "grunt" at specific RPM's and doesn't require maintenance.

To be honest, I spend more time on these forums than I should and been doing that for a while now. I've never heard of Termignoni, let alone heard of someone with one on a Buell.

Here's a pic also. The XB12 stock actuator valve is utilized with this system, located in the elbow/header tube that you see pictured.
