What is this and would I need to put one on when I change my exhaust to the drummer??
I saw this mentioned on the REMOVING THE CABLE question.
Thanks again
Justin

Yep you will need one, that is unless you go with the Race ECM. Basically it tells the ECM that your exhaust cable is still connected ( it won't be when you put your drummer on) Just keeps the engine light from coming on. Very easy to install. Plug it in and ground it...that's it.

if u leave the servo motor pluged up u dont need the emulator, i put a drummer on and it works fine and im still running the stock ecm.

It will work for a while, but eventually it will fail and your engine light will come on.

Dozer you are wrong. If you run the stock ECM on a 12 with a aftermarket Muffler and disconnect the cable the light will not come on....... ever. I know several people that do this. The servo motor is still working it just doesn't have the cable anylonger.

Well my light came on after a few miles, then I put the emulator on and no problems since.

By dissconnecting the cable with a aftermarket muffler. As long as its still plugged in it shouldn't have. Theres no sensor on the cable. It thinks its still working.

Dunno, I cut my cable to make it shorter and more concealable. Maybe I pinched the wire to where it cant move and the ecm thought it was stuck open or somethin. Either way its gone now.
