I JUST PURCHASED A 2005 XB9SX AND IT HAD A DEAD BATTERY SO I REPLACED THE BATTERY NOW IT WILL CRANK BUT WONT START. I SPRAYED A LITTLE START FLUID DOWN THE THROTTLE BODY AND IT FIRED UP. THE FUEL PUMP ISNT CYCLING, ALSO THE INJECTORS ARENT FIRING. I PULLED ONE OF THE INJECTOR CONNECTIONS AND PUT A NOID LIGHT ON IT AND NOTHING. SO THE ONLY THING I CAN COME UP WITH IS THE TIP OVER SENSOR POSSIBLY. CAN ANYONE GIVE ME SOME HELP?

You check your fuses & relays yet? Also, you try the "Troubleshooting" section in your manual.

If you had the hookups for ECMSpy and the program loaded onto a laptop with cable, you could check the engine trouble/service codes.

is your pump getting power?
if it isn't running, there's no use of looking at the injectors since they won't work without pump pressure.

yea my pump is getting power i have pulled the pump and bench tested it and it is bad. i am new to the buells and was wanting to know if this is something that happens often? i also did some research and found that a fuel pump for an 89 ford thunderbird v6 will replace the fuel pump on the bike and only cost between 80 and 100 dollars at your local auto parts store, instead of 300-400 for a whole assembly from the dealer.
