Does anyone know if there is a quickshifter we can use on the 1125, or even better has anyone on here done it?

As I understand it You can use most any quickshifter. But will have to customize the plug wiring and either use tunerpro or buy the EBR ECM to activate the timing/ functionality. I know quite a few who have used the power commander quick shifters.

I have the powercommander one, and it is awesome.

Do u have pics of it mounted? To work do u just have the ebr ecm or is there a separate power commander needed?

Mrlogix did you ever get around to installing the quick shifter? I'm am interested but wanted the opinion of someone that used it for a decent amount of time.

I second that. I got really lazy riding my buddies S1000R. So much fun...

Well, since no one else is... I just ordered the Dynojet #4-116 'linear push sensor' for my CR. I found it new for $85!

When it gets here in a week, I'll take pics of the install and wiring. I don't even know if I need any programming of the DDFI3 ECM, or if the function is just a matter of wiring the input.

I spoke with EBR today and they confirmed within the next month or two they will release a quickshift for the 1125. They said as soon as they get a confirmation on the delivery date it will be back on their website on back order. They also confirmed that any "race" ECM should have the quickshift function already programmed. All OEM ECMs need to have it unlocked for lack of a better word.

Thanks for the update Cooter, I'll be installing one as well and I'm sure your pics and install will help tons.

I'm surprised they are even still working on stuff for a 7-8 year old bike they don't even produce anymore! All you need to buy is the linear push switch, everything else is built in to the bike:up:

The DDFI-3 ECM has that feature built in, I'm checking out the specifics right now. So far Pin #34 Grey plug (tan/white) is the input for the side stand switch if you don't want to run wiring, just switch the pin to #3, and I believe that it's a plugged Deutch connector but I haven't looked yet. You can activate the feature on any ECM using TunerPro, ECMSpy or ECMDroid if you don't have a 'race' ECM.

I will do a step by step for the easiest way possible. I can't believe I can't find a decent link to one already? There's one picture on Badweb for the 4-104 kit, but doesn't have any other pertinent info?

Next I will try to put one on my '08 STT!

Wow! Thanks for that. I like that super tiny sensor, and the many different mounting options. Ill try to get just the sensor for my STT. There's no need for the computer in '08 up Buells (But I am double checking the shift feature availability in DDFI-3 XB's).

So I checked the service manual and it says you need to rotate the engine to access the front ignition coil. However after a little research I found this thread where a guy not only accesses his without rotation but also removes it. It's the last paragraph before the pics start in the first post.

In the service manual it's on 7-8 for the 09 1125r.

Sorry I should have explained a little better.

This device requires you to plug a supplied harness into the front and rear ignition coil. Service manual says that requires an engine rotation but my reaearch tells me otherwise.

You are correct, you can do that without a engine rotation, but read the posts above. There's no need to buy or use their computer at all for a '09 1125R. The shifter function is built into your existing DDFI-3 computer.
You can wire into #34 pin on the grey plug of your ECM. 'Race' ECM's have the function turned on and you can change the settings in ECMSpY, TunerPro, etc. Then you can use all the specific tuning options if you want or need too. The ECM pin #34 is connected to the pin #2 in the side stand switch (right next to a power and ground) so wiring is super simple. Just move the ECM input from pin #34 to #3.

XB12SS, to just buy and install a kit is really, really, easy! I just want to to an all inclusive, informative article on the options available.

BamBam- The Healtech system is a little different than the regular switch that the 'Race' ECM is looking for. Healtech uses a strain gauge/torque sensor, and that signal will need to be modified to work with the Buell ECM. It also lists the Buell kit as a fuel cut off, not a coil cut off? Either way, you can get to the connectors without a rotate.

Honestly, it's either $250-ish for the Dynojet switch, or $320 for the whole Healtech kit, including the computer. Tempting, except Twin motorcycles told me they didn't like that style of switch as it would activate at the wrong time when shifting their feet around on the race bike. Yikes! I'm sure there's a threshold setting to adjust though.

Word from EBR is that they thought the Dynojet switches weren't durable. Their 1190 kits are currently available on their site ($399 and comes with a gorgeous shift lever) and the 1125 kits are on the way. Yay!

Still doing research, I need to make sure my sources are covered and their information is 100%. 'Cause you know, everything on the internet is true!!

Any updates on this? I still don't see anything on EBR website for the 1125.

You'd have to ask them about specific launch dates. I think it's pretty cool they are offering a kit for a 7 year old bike they don't make anymore. Pretty generous:)

My project has stalled out, and might even go up for sale. Sad.

Just bought the dynojet quick shifter. Planning on using ECMdroid and the stock ECM hook it up. Will let you know how it goes.

I think all you can do is enable the quick shift function with ECMDroid and that should be enough.

If you want to adjust something, ECMSpy or TunerPro.

Got it done on the STT and love it, love it, love it. I have pics and will write it up in a couple days. 1125's (any DDFI3) are identical.
