I have a 2009 xb12scg I just put a hawk muffler. I have a guy that's going to dyno and tune it he said I need to download a program so I can get my stock maps emailed to me I already have the cable just don't no which program?

Also do I really need to do anything first for him to tune?

If the guy doing the tuning is the same person who will email you the stock maps, you might just ask him. There are quite a few tuning and diagnostics programs out there. ECMSpy is a great one.

Have you performed regular maintenance on your XB12scg? Engine and drivetrain will be run hard on the dyno.
It's important to verify the basic things such as proper oil and transmission level/cleanliness, air filter, condition of drive belt and tires, fresh fuel, spark plugs, no fluid leaks, no check engine light, etc.

Bike needs to be in excellent working order and needs to be safe!

ECMspy won't work on the 09 he has ... tunerpro is probably going to be his best bet ...

Also that is pretty sound advice from ReadyXB there ... [up][up]

What am I missing? ECMSpy website says it supports DDFI-3 stock and EBR ECMs (http://www.ecmspy.com/supported.shtml) (BUEOD - BUE3D).

That's ECMspy mono ... I have zero experience with that program unfortunately .. =\
