I hate electrical issues

I got back from being out of town for a few weeks to electrical issues with my 09 XB12. It cranked once and stopped when I first tried starting it. I jumped it and got it started only for it to die about 20 seconds later. After turning the engine switch to off and even taking the key out of the ignition, all of the lights stayed on. So far all I've done is clean all of the grounds and connections, and charge and load test the battery....all that checked out. Any ideas?

If your headlights stayed on with the key out....I bet your ignition switch is bad. Do a search on that in particular. It comes up quite a bit. Good luck with it!
