I am looking to get a Buell soon. But I have a few questions.

I am vertically challenged, about 5'4", can a Firebolt be lowered a little like the Lightning SCG?

Should the suspension compress a little when I sit on it? I weight 145 and when I sat on one at the dealer it didn't compress at all.

And did you guys get anything off of msrp? Will they deal any?

I tried to get some answers at the dealer but being the weekend and all I couldn't find a good solid answer. Thanks

Firebolts from the factory are set up one click up on the rear shock. Try putting it at zero and you can slide the forks up in the triple trees slightly to get it to lower some. Worst case you can put a CG shock on the rear.

It all depends on the dealers. Some sell at MSRP, some sell above and others will deal on them to get them out the door.

Leftovers are a great way in for under MSRP
I got my 06 Firebolt for 1250 under MSRP, 0 miles

I got my 2005 as a repo, (bought in 2006) with 2500 miles on it. Still had a warranty, and I paid $5700 on an $11,000 bike
I had gone to the dealer in Macon Ga, looking for a new one, he wouldn't drop a dime from the suggested price of $10,995 and that was on an '04 that he still had sitting there. Back here in Florida, no local dealers had any firebolts left and none were due in until the '07 models started arriving 6 months down the road. I really wanted a Uly, but my legs are too short to ride one comfortably. (well stop one comfortably at least) So i am happy with my Firebolt

My wife is your height and she's flat footed on her 07 xb9r. I lowered the front and changed out the shock with a little modification. Perfect fit. If you didn't buy yet we are talking about selling both bike's not sure the price yet but they are only a few months old and both have under 1000 miles. Let me know if it would spark any intrest. We are about 45 min. south of New Orleans.. www.bayoubuell@yahoo.com

No, I haven't bought yet. I was thinking of waiting to see what the 2008 models bring. But let me know when you sell. I might be interested. kdavid6$@houston.rr.com Remove the $ to email me.
