I am having trouble getting the bike to start right away usually it will try to turn over for 5 to 10 seconds and i have to let off, try again and then it will take off could this be a battery issue. Thanks

The few times my bike did that, I had fouled the original spark plugs. Went with the NGK Iridium plugs (Pt. # DCPR9EIX), and been no probs since.

You could take you're battery off too, and take it with you to when you go for plugs. Almost all auto parts stores will check batteries under load for free. They won't have these plugs in stock, but can order them for you.

if you have a voltmeter, get in on the battery and start...check what it says.

just put new plugs in so that shouldn't be it, i will check the battery it could very well be it. the bike was in storage for about 2 years before I bought it so it wouldn't hurt to go for a new battery anyway i'm sure
