EBR posted on their fb page...1.99%, 60 mo., 0 down on both the RX and SX...also $2000 off MSRP 'til December 31, 2014...Merry Christmas from EBR...

I'd like one under my tree:D

My money is on these "lower" prices being the new MSRP come 2015.

Sigh.

I keep hoping that EBR will just lower the damn prices on the bikes, would sell a **** load more than they have since introduction which the average Joe could actually afford. A more realistic pricing like the XB's had would do. It says a lot if they continue to offer the $2000 off MSRP month after month, just saying.

i hope they make a smaller cc bike.

600cc or 800cc.

something not so expensive.

they run for $32,000NZD ($25,000USD) here in New Zealand :(

Can't sell what you can't produce ;)
Price should match their production volume (as far as good business model)

But yes, I've expected prices to drop as production continues. That's only logical.

He is only making that bike because he's a racer at heart and needed the homologation. Let's face it. Nothing really nice is cheap. It's like a bmw or mercedes. To be in the reach of everyday guys isn't the theme hear.

EXACTLY! And this bike is RIGHT ON PAR with any other bike in it's class. Even more-so in reality. The R1's, KTM's,Ducati's and the like are all in the ballpark. EBR builds all quality componentry into the suspension and all, great power.....really? It's funny how everyone cried about the good 'ole HD engined XB's. NOW they build something with balls and everyone cries 'too much money'! Lol! I guess HD wasn't so bad after all? THIS is what happens when you build a low-production bike WITHOUT the mega-support that HD gave him before. Yes...it IS a lot of money. But if you want a REAL performance bike this IS what you'll pay (OR more)...........from EBR or ANY other manufacturer. You want cheap fun? Look at the Yamaha FZ09. It is what it is....CHEAP. MAYBE someday, EBR may make an 'entry level' bike, who knows. It is just nice seeing what they ARE doing now.

everyone's entitled to their opinions...so, with that said which one of you financed or bought out right an EBR, either models?

As soon as my Jeep is paid off, an SX is on the list. I wasn't planning on my Jeep, but my Ranger got totaled.....so I didn't have much choice. At 1.99 APR, 15K is $289.92. My payments on my '06 XB9SX were more than this. The best Yamaha is doing on 60 months is 5.99 APR. That makes their FZ09 a $212.61 payment.

I bought one in March for $18,999. I don't regret it one bit. Financed it with a local credit union for 2.9% and put a significant amount down.

let's agree on if the price were lower we'd all be much happier...:D

my finance manager (wife):D already gave me the thumbs up to get a new bike and that's great, but really need to update my almost 20 yr old truck more than getting a new bike. I have found new love in my '03 9s after having thoughts of selling, but 8-1/2 yrs later and I still have that stupid grin on my face:D

I just can't justify financing that much. Then full coverage insurance. That puts a guy behind 400 something a month. Plus the gas . 450 a month for a toy.? No thanks. I could contribute that much each month to some other investment that will see returns. I stick to buying out right on most stuff. Minus the house.

Once they start hitting the used market I should have enough of my pennies saved up [cool]

I'm interested to see how the design progresses over the next few years. EBR is really set up pretty good with hero at their back. Should be a lot of awesome things to come in the future.

Everything (not just EBRs) is just so damn expensive anymore. I priced a fairly base model ram 1500 quad cab truck and it was $40k. WTF? I love my current truck, but regret deeply not getting 4x4. I can't believe that a new vehicle is half the cost of my first house. If only our salaries inflated at the same rate as the cost of living...

^ [up]...I dread thinking of getting a new truck, but may have to...she's 20 yrs old and every time one thing is fixed, another breaks or stops working.

Sounds like you own a ford.....

:p

This ram is the first chrysler product I've owned (had GM's before, but when shopping for a new colorado quad cab with v8, the full size ram was cheaper) and I'm thoroughly impressed with the ram. Great gas mileage, plenty of power, runs good. Only left me stranded one time I think (dead battery) actually at another buellxb member's house. Luckily he was nice enough to lend me his car to take for the night until I could get a new battery the next morning. I already have 110k miles on my 2010 ram though, they are racking up QUICK.

Ford[up] 4.9L, inline 6, 5 speed w/overdrive...253k+ on the clock and hasn't been rebuilt, original alternator gave out last year which left me at a rest stop about 50 miles outside of Phoenix leaving from SoCal.

Oh there you go, I have an 81 F100 that originally had the inline six. Great engine and good truck. I am not a fan of the later fords (4.6 and 5.4)

in typical board fashion a posting specifically related to EBR motorcycles has morphed into pick-up truck comps....ford triton and modular engine discussions..... chrysler ram window-sticker observations....along with the usual high-mileage bravado. having owned 1 or more GMC/Chevrolet/Dodge/Ford/Toyota trucks i can candidly say that in the world of pick-up trucks you need to know 3 words, and 3 words only: Cummins Turbo Diesel.

Matteson

Cummins are a good heart to have in your truck. I drive big rigs at work and the Mack, Mercedes, and Cummins are all lovely to drive dependent on the quality of the tranny involved.
I am looking forward to getting the opportunity to the riding an EBR though. I will not be buying a new one.

My now-ex-girlfriend asked me around Christmas of 2013 if I wanted to have kids in 2014, we had dated for 5 years. I said, "Na, I want a new motorcycle." Bought an RX March 2014 . . Got a new girlfriend now, too. haha

I'm sure most have already seen the new EBR offer running 'til the end of March, either on the forum, fb, or EBR's website...so no need to update the thread.

...however, think we're due for an oil or tire or something else that's been beating into the ground subject...for the sake of all the recent newbs to Buell motorcycles, and let's not forget to add a smart ass remark here and there either. For the record, I'm a proud alumni of the Smart Ass University :D:D:D

not a fan of Dodge trucks as well, or Chevy, or Toyota, ...:p

Do the new EBR's run the same tire pressures as the XB's did?
