Why does the RX cost $2k more. I looked at all the specs side by side and they are nearly identical.

More fairings.

Thats pretty much it. Also think they anticipated the RX to be the more desirable model, so a chance for a slightly higher profit. But thats not the case, seems the SX is out selling the RX.

2k in fairings

wonder if that is why it's a better selling model.

seems the SX is out selling the RX.

And this data is from where? I know more RX owners than SX by a large margin.

You would be suprised what all the front end plastic and brake duct will cost on a low production motorcycle. Sad to say but the American (domestic) market has never been hot and heavy for Buell or EBR. They have always been the elite sport bike across the pond or in other countries.

My Dealer has only sold SX. None of the RX.

My info is not factual, just going off sales in my area mostly. "seems" from my perspective.

I've wondered what sales have been like. Partially out of curiosity and mostly out of hoping that EBR is moving bikes. If they aren't moving product then it makes it a little difficult to expand offerings like, oh I don't know, maybe some sort of adventure bike, and to stay in business. I've been eyeing the EBR's and think it would look great next to my XB12S but currently they are price prohibitive for me. Second, I don't want to end up having to scrounge for parts like we are moving toward with our Buells. Haven't seen anything "official" sales numbers but would be curious if anyone knows. I am guessing that domestic and international sales may be very different.
