I'm thinking we could use a "ECMspy" forum, or just a general "Tuning" forum. That way we can reference related topics easily.

but then again, you could make a new forum for every subject, as in:

- exhaust
- intake
- ecm
...

i vote for an even better overview:
- xb tech
- rotax tech
- tube tech
- blast tech
- do it yourself

group the xb models instead of xbs forum, xbr forum, xbx forum, etc.
- tubers s1, s3, m2, x1
- xb9 - xb12 s/r/x/ss/tt/scg/xt forum
- 1125 r/cr forum

and for other forums...
- new user's & their bikes
- general chat
- motorcycle chat
- off-road
- buell for sale
- forum support

in short...

main section:
- new user's & their bikes
- tubers s1, s3, m2, x1
- xb9 - xb12 s/r/x/ss/tt/scg/xt forum
- 1125 r/cr forum
- general chat
- other bikes chat
- off-road
- buell for sale
- forum support
tech section:
- xb tech
- rotax tech
- tube tech
- blast tech
- do it yourself
mod section:
- general
- moved topics

I like your idea LeFox, never understood the induvudul for sale forums, and different xb forums.

Yeah what LeFox said.

scratch the 'off-road' forum or add another which would be 'track'.

Working on loads of bug fixes as I type this. We should have all the bugs fixed in two to three more days. One includes the mod thing you are noticing Lefox. When the smoke has cleared for this I will look into modifying the forum topics.

I want to BUMP this a ECMSPY section would be very helpful in having all info and feedback in one location. We could compare maps and ideals.

And man we need to improve the search function.

How 'bout at least a -=GUNS=- thread or something...

...on that other thread everybody went from busting knee caps and breaking off mirrors to "I'm gonna blast that mutha with my new G21!" :D

Man I love this community, but the forum is drastically getting outdated. It doesnt have ALOT of features that many other forums I frequent have. PM's, Signatures, Custom profiles, sub forums, and MUCH more. If this community is going to grow, the site will need an update here pretty soon.

Thaloc I kind of enjoy the less is more. With out Avatars and the "custom profile and colorings and stuff" it's more meat and potatoes. Less is more with this type of forum, and I think that other stuff will take away from the tight knit style of this community. . .IMO

We do all ride bikes that haven't had too many major changes in a decade. . .

I agree with Nuage420b, even though I find it entertaining sometimes to go to the other forums and create profiles, when its all said and done, I find myself comming to this forum every day because of its simplicity. [up] sometimes less is more.

If you keep this Forum "up to speed" and add all the trendy stuff then you will attract "trendy" people not to mention having to Moderate peoples profiles for offensive stuff and then possibly have the who censorship arguments because someone dislikes another members icon. I know I am a younger member on this site at 24, but I enjoy the overall maturity level on this as compared to other forums I've checked out.

PM and a better search engine would be great. I agree with the less is best. I enjoy not having to sort through a bunch of bull to find a decent topic to read. I gave up on my local forum because there just seemed to be to much. Just my 2 cents.

I dont see what u mean. Search thru stuff to find what u r looking for. On my local forum we have sub forums for everything from Track pics, to videos, to Off topic, even a "hot topic" for polotics and whatnot. It makes it MUCH easier to find what ur looking for cause you right to the part of the forum you want to view and its right there laid out for u.

As far as attracting "trendy" people, this is a forum for Buell riders, and I welcome all types. If updating the forum brings more members here than im all for it. Less is more in most cases, but in my experience that doesnt apply to forums, more is more here.

But to be honest and clear I dont expect it here. This is a great community, but the forum health isn't top priority from my POV.

Iv stopped using the search function on this site cause its absolutely worthless

Heres a link to my local forum. I think its prolly the best forum layout iv ever seen.

i agree Thaloc. I keep coming back to this forum at the end of the day. But when it comes to searching for older topics... [down][mad]. WASTE OF TIME!!

I like your idea LeFox, never understood the individual for sale forums, and different xb forums.

AGREED!! Why are Lightning and Bolt tech questions in different areas??

XB questions = together.

Thaloc
09-11-2009, 07:33 PM
^ Agreed. On the most part everything is the same except body work. And we should all know the difference from a Firebolt and a Lightning by now :p
