battery* (sorry) :)

This may be a silly question, but I'm just not sure.

I have a regular Lightning, but I've added the same wiring as the Ulysses - Power socket going through the heated grip kit, going through the factory fuse and relay to the battery.

Because of the relay, which would only be closed at certain times (ignition on I think), would hooking a battery tender up through that socket actually get power to the battery?

I'm assuming not, but I figured the Ulysses guys would be the ones to know.

Thanks!
William

if the power socket is only energized (complete circuit) when the key is on, then no, you cannot charge the battery through the power socket. You would have to wire the socket power (positive) around the relay contactsto enable this functionality. I'll let Lunatic take it from here.
